About Maria

Maria is a skilled copywriter, editor, adjunct instructor, and marketing consultant. Her work has been published in national home design and medical education publications, and through a 10+-year partnership with The Parish Group, she has written marketing copy for 11 colleges and universities across the country.

As an adjunct online instructor, Maria teaches writing, public relations, and corporate communications courses for Southern New Hampshire University and West Virginia University.

Maria's diverse professional experience includes eight years with Methodist University, where she served as director of marketing and communications until 2013. At Methodist University, Maria managed the University's marketing, advertising and photography, and was responsible for publishing 25 issues of the alumni magazine. Prior to entering higher education marketing, Maria worked as a freelance editor for the medical publishing industry. 

An alumna of Monmouth University, Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication with a concentration in journalism and public relations, and a Master of Arts in English with a concentration in technical and professional communication from East Carolina University.
